Neuro Attention and Our Purpose

There are many rehabilitation and development programs in our country and around the world to improve cognitive functions. In addition to those that provide holistic support, there are also programs aimed at the development of specific areas.

Neuro Attention directly addresses almost all of the mental domains described in the theoretical framework section. Current programs aim to gradually make mental development areas more functional, which is very valuable. In the Neuro Attention method, some programs play a fundamental role in areas such as planning, processing speed, attention and inhibition. But what is really important for us is the control mechanism system of the brain.

The brain tries to do its best under the current conditions with its current software. The control mechanism is the upper system that ensures that these subsystems work optimally, and this main system is where Neuro Attention really focuses.

Materials and movement-based practices create the infrastructure for our benefit and purpose in mental functions. Likewise, in the configuration section of some software (although it varies from person to person), the first 1/3 or 1/4 (think of it as a day) section includes this function.

In the next stage, by showing a positive perspective and effort, the patient gradually moves on to the area he/she has difficulty in doing. Here, with our mentoring support, we want the trainee to push himself in a positive mood and support him in this direction.

What would it be like for you to be able to program easily? ! Can you allow yourself to think and feel this way? We support the client with questions such as. While applying the programs, ensure that the trainee's body is in an upright and comfortable position. Remind them in every session that the important thing is to strive with a positive attitude. At this stage, practicing the exercises with a smile greatly increases their benefits.

The most important function of the human mind is to protect itself. While performing the exercises (updating the current mental software), he smiles and puts in positive effort, helps the system, and gives the message that everything is okay. In this way, the developmental process of exposure to learning blocks is managed.

After a while, 'I can do' moments begin to occur in the area where he is forced to do. Not only does he understand this, but it also serves as the basis for later stages of development.

In the process, the individual's mind becomes clearer. He begins to manage life spontaneously with more volitional behavior. Becomes able to determine and implement priorities. Decision-making rates work much more efficiently. Their sleep becomes more regular and they wake up more refreshed in the morning to go into the deep sleep phases. One of the most common feedback you will receive will be 'sir, my sleep has improved, I wake up much more refreshed'. 😊

Every person is unique. While implementing your program, proceed by respecting the individual's pace and path of development. Some trainees progress gradually. Some progress a little and seem to be stable for a while, but in this process their cognitive reserves continue to be filled and they progress by leaps and bounds. You will encounter many versions of these states throughout the process. Our duty is to keep our clients motivated by respecting their process.

The center of most higher cognitive functions is the prefrontal cortex. It is the starting point of our executive attention, logical decision-making, patience, long-term thinking, planning, willpower and decision-making abilities.

When the process progresses by applying the programs and we reach the state of flow, this part of our brain turns off. The term meaning of this state is “temporary hypofrontality”. In this case, we use our brain less, not more.

As we move into this state and our need for hyperfocused attention increases, the slower, more energy-intensive external system, that is, conscious processing, is replaced by the much faster and more efficient processing of the subconscious and internal system. “This is another efficiency trade-off,” says neuroscientist Arne Dietrich. We trade energy usually used for higher cognitive functions for higher attention and awareness. At this stage, non-subconscious learning sources that we did not even know existed until that moment are activated. The aim of Neuro Attention is to take the individual to this level and perhaps to further levels that he/she may have difficulty even defining!
